About Us
The Government Financial Management Innovators Circle Inc.
How We Started?
GFMIC began in 2006 as a community of users and enthusiasts of the electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS). Over the years, we have grown into an association of government financial management professionals dedicated to using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to enhance productivity, transparency, and accountability. This evolution prompted the GFMIC Board of Trustees to change our name, aligning it with our ideals, vision, and mission.
Background
Government Financial Management Innovators Circle (GFMIC), Inc., formerly Electronic Financials Users’ Circle (EUC), Inc., was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 15, 2008, as a non-stock and non-profit association to include in the scope of its membership those who are using not only e-NGAS and e-Budget systems but also other financial management information systems.
Initially, GFMIC started in 2006 as an association of users and enthusiasts of the electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS).
GFMIC has now evolved into an association of government financial management professionals who utilize Information and Communications Technology as a tool for productivity, transparency, and accountability. The GFMIC Board of Trustees felt the need to change its name to truly reflect its ideals, vision, and mission.
